Brief narrative

In 2005, the Kenyan Government started evicting people from the Mau Forest where Kenya`s oldest tribes, including the Ogiek and Maasi, lived. Despite holding land titles, most of which were illegally sold to the victims by corrupt officials of the Moi regime, the Minister of Lands and Housing announced in 2004 that holders of these titles should consider them cancelled.
