Brief narrative

On April 2nd 2008, Jerusalem municipality bulldozed the homes of Hasan Hamdan and his son Muhammad, in the Dahiat-as-Salaam suburb near Anata north-east Jerusalem, to make way for the construction of the Wall. This is the second time that the homes have been demolished, having been bulldozed by in the Israeli municipality in 2005 and subsequently rebuilt. On April 8th 2008, the Israeli occupation municipality bulldozed a house owned by Khalid Shoman’s family in the Wa’ar Abu Salah quarter of Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem. On 14 April 2008 the Israeli occupation municipality tore down an 80m2 house belonging to Younis Muhammad Sbeih in the Assalam suburb of Anata. During the course of the demolition, his wife Hanna Sbeih was attacked by occupation forces, causing sever traumas to her head back and stomach. She was taken to clinic in Shu’afat Camp, from where she was transferred to the Hadash hospital in Eisawiah. On April 10th 2008 the Israeli municipality demolished Omar Arameen’s 70m2 house in Khallat el-Ein area on the Mount of Olives.
