This incident was the second mass protest against brutality and inequality in less than a week in Chongqing.rnrnA resident of Shizi Village told the reporter at the interview: on the same day, a 13-year old girl was beaten to death when the Public Security drove away protestors. Soon the protestors attacked the managerial office of the region, Industrial Garden Office and overturned the police chubs. The Rebellion lasted for days and remains unsettled up until now. Early Thursday morning, the folks still had clashes with the police who placed nearly a hundred chubs guarding the area. It is very tense here.�� An owner of a petrol station nearby accused the local government of the wrong act, and claimed that the official is definitely at fault the with death toll and the injured in the incident.rnrnIt is known that in the days of insurrection several chubs were destroyed and some policemen and ten protestors were injured in the clashes with eight protestors arrested. The government later regulated armed police to dissipate protestors, with four students seized.rnrn[The uprising stemmed from the discontentment of the local residents who are complaining about their compensation for forced relocation of their homes. Over five thousand residents near the An-Jia Industrial Garden of Chang-Shou Region in Chongqing City are effected by the forced eviction, who have been complaining that the compensated money for relocating home is way below the market value plus the fact that the quality of the relocated homes is inferior to the standard. The factory that set up in the Industrial Garden did not employ those farmers who were effected in the forced evictions. Thousands went to appeal to the managerial office at An-Jia Street on Monday, demanding to raise the compensation and to settle various promises made at the time of forced eviction.]rnrnWhen journalists contacted the managerial office of Dian-An-Jia Street, the officer on duty refused to comment on the protest. She said: ��We cannot accept an interview by you. You should know that all interviews would have to be approved by the Propaganda Ministry before hand. However, the spokesperson of the regional propaganda department denied the rebellion ever occurred.
