In June 2006, police evicted members of the Maoist Victims Association who had created a camp in Kathmandu. Approximately 150 police officers forced the people into vans and arrested 80 persons during the operation. The Maoist Victims Association is an organisation of people who have been internally displaced due to Maoist violence during their conflict with the Government of Nepal.329
