The talk discusses water’s centrality in Zionist thought and how it affects the occupation’s forms in terms of borders and geographical space. Based on historical correspondence and negotiations that formed the occupation’s identity and refined its policies later, the research argues that it is impossible to understand the form of occupation—its areas of influence and expansion plans—without linking them to water, resources, abundance, and domination. The talk will be in Arabic. Rama Sabanekh is an audio journalist and political satirist with a research background in geography and political economy of the Levant.
